The Less Meat Campaign
According to researchers at the University of Oxford, cutting back on your meat consumption is the single biggest way to reduce your impacts on the environment, like greenhouse gases, global acidification, eutrophication, land use, and water use. According to lead researcher Joseph Poore, “It is far bigger than cutting down on your flights or buying an electric car, as these only cut greenhouse gas emissions.”1 And the personal health benefits of less meat and more fruits and veggies are well documented. This is a simple one – you don’t have to become a strict vegetarian or vegan. Just eat less meat.
